Job description: Outside sales representative for “Get Found Local,” a division of “Get Found on Google.”




Business-2-business commission sales position
Get Found Local is looking for talented, enthusiastic people to help us maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction in every area of our business.  We are a company that recognizes talent, provides encouragement and the opportunity for training and development for your career growth.

Purpose
Develop new prospects and maintain contacts with established customers for the purpose of maintaining a working relationship; customarily and regularly interact with prospects and customers in person at the customer's site of business or other off-site locations.

We set goals for each member of our team based on their strength. Beginning goal is an average of 2 sales per week. We base goals on 48 work weeks in a year. This leaves one month for vacation time or enough time to catch up on your annual goal of 96 sales on average.

Closing two sales a week with a twenty percent close rate requires ten presentations or two office calls daily Monday – Friday. Typically less than 20 hours per week.

We strongly encourage business networking, chamber functions, along with additional KPI’s or key performance indicators to track success.

All leads/referrals will be entered into a detailed lead tracking sheet we provide.

If you don’t have a CRM or customer relationship management system in place we can provide you with one.

Requirements
Valid driver’s license
Strong desire to read, learn, and grow
Ability to pass a background check
No experience in sales necessary  

Summary

We provide a packet for you a few pages go over what we provide, page to gather information from the client and a page that covers payment information, the last two to be returned to the home office.

Get Found On Google Launches “Pages” To Help Businesses Sync Their Website Data



Get Found On Google is adding new tools today to help businesses synchronize their content and data across multiple services with the launch of a product called Pages.
 Focusing on helping businesses manage their location data, first on local search and listing services like Yelp and Bing, then on Facebook too. With Pages, it's making it easier for businesses to update their own websites as well.
To illustrate why this is useful, CEO Tracy Congdon told me about being dispatched by his wife to pick up a pie, only to discover that the store in question was closed for the day. It turned out that the store's Facebook Page had been updated with that information, but its website (which is what he had consulted) was not. Congdon argued that this reflects a broader problem, where many businesses find it difficult to consistently update their websites, so those websites turn into digital brochures.
“We want to make the web a little less static,” he said.
With Pages, Get Found On Google is offering customers five different widgets - calendars, menus, bios, product lists, and social posts. Once those widgets are embedded on a site, they can be updated from the same Get Found On Google interface as everything else, with the same information. And those updates go live immediately, as Congdon showed me in a quick demo.
In addition, Get Found On Google is announcing that it now supports international addresses in 75 countries and 150 languages, and that it's expanding its social features to include support for Google+.

PO Box vs Physical Mailing Address


TIP:
PO Boxes and UPS stores, seem like a great way to help protect our addresses and keep unwanted visitors or random people from stopping by. Sure, it helps here but it actually hurts your online business listing.

Google and the other big search engines cross check physical addresses with stores like Mail Boxes Etc. When they match up, your listing loses "link juice," or placement with the search engines. 

When creating your listings online put your actual address and when available select "do not show my address." This will dramatically improve your listings power and improve your online presence helping drive traffic to you and your company. 

I often hear, "but I work from home," so do 1000's of others and the many I have helped place listings for have noted a significant and documented increase in potential new customers.

Picture Marketing and Your Citation




A relatively easy way to pop up in a Google search is with video and picture marketing. 

Picture marketing is where you upload numerous properly tagged photos to one of the many picture sharing websites. Such as Shutterfly, Picasa, Flickr, Photobucket, of course Instagram and many others. 

By properly tagged I am indicating you have done some proper keyword research. Google makes a very nice tool for researching the proper keywords you need. Once your picture is uploaded you have to say a little something about the photo using the proper keywords. Also in the body of your message you need to include your business citation. 

Your citation is your online business card. Or how your business name, address, phone number, email address, and website appear. This must be exactly the same all across the web. If you use ( ) in your phone number then always use them. Don't use - - sometimes and . . others. Once you type out your citation you should save it on your computer and cut and paste it as often as possible. Eliminate the human error.

Videos are the wave of the future

If a picture says 1000 words, a video tells the whole story. Actually it is better than a story. The brain can fill in the gaps and elaborate with its vast imagination.YouTube is now the 2nd largest search engine on the Web. Why? Because people like to find video answers to their questions, as opposed to searching pages and pages of text. So, all you need is 30-45 seconds and good images and you’ve just engaged your audience. 

Some Facts about Videos:
• Did you know that adding video to your website makes your site SIX times more likely to convert a “browser” into a paying customer? This was the result of a recent study by Forrester Research.
•The same study showed that only TWENTY percent of web visitors will sit and read the majority of the text on a website, but EIGHTY percent will sit and watch the same content when presented in the form of a video.
•A company web site is also FIFTY times more likely to be ranked on the front page of Google if it contains video.
• According to Comscore, retail site visitors who view video stay two minutes longer on a site on average and are 64 per cent more likely to purchase than other visitors.
